B.S. in Psychology - University of Nebraska at Omaha M.S. in Educational Psychology - Oklahoma State University Currently pursuing a Specialist in Education degree to practice School Psychology from OK State. Will receive May 2015.
Experience
I worked as a nanny throughout most of my undergraduate studies. Part of my job included tutoring the 3 children on a variety of subjects. The children were elementary, middle and high school students. From 2011-2014, I worked for Oklahoma State University as an Academic Facilitator for college students. My responsibilities included helping students develop organizational, time management, and study skills. I also helped them strengthen their writing skills through tutoring. I also assisted with reviewing for exams. I thoroughly enjoy helping students develop the skills to be successful. That is one of the reasons I have been studying to be a school psychologist. My graduate training has focused on learning theories and educational interventions. I have the skills to adapt tutoring to best fit the student's needs. School psychologists are trained to work with students from 0-21 years old, including those with attention, behavioral, or learning difficulties. I have experience with students of all ages with a wide spectrum of needs. I love working with any age! :)
