Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, in Secondary Education with a focus on Biology. I went on to teach in public schools for more than a decade, and recently completed my work towards earning my master's degree in Teacher Leadership. I have a lot of experience teaching in a classroom and in individual settings. In the classroom, I have taught life science, biology, and worked as an instructional coach in the area of science. I have a firm belief that every student can reach their educational goals, and even more. I especially enjoy tutoring science, because it can seem difficult to students at times. With my skills and experiences, I have a great background for helping students achieve success. In my free time, I like spinning yarn and then knitting and crocheting with it, kayaking, and watching TV and movies. The Walking Dead is a favorite of mine. I also enjoy spending time with my Pomeranian. I'm available to tutor many levels of science, from middle school through college classes.
